Chic guitarist and all-round legendary disco producer Nile Rodgers has dismissed rumours of a surprise Daft Punk set at Glastonbury 2013 whilst admitting that he didn't expect their No.1 single 'Get Lucky' - on which he features - to become quite as successful as it has.

Chic headlined the West Holts stage at Glastonbury last night (Friday) but revealed that he has no knowledge of a secret set from the French duo.

He told the Hereford Times: "A ton of people have come up to me to talk about these rumours. But I'm just playing with Chic as far as I know."

Rodgers worked with Daft Punk on their 2013 album, Random Access Memories and produced their smash hit single 'Get Lucky' which has now sold over one million copies in the UK.

Speaking of the track, Rodgers added: "All the stuff happening with this record blew me away. As of yesterday (Thursday) afternoon, a million copies had sold in 69 days.

"I knew the record was good. But what's unexpected about it is the fact it got so big.

"I'm incredibly proud. But more than anything, I'm proud and happy for Daft Punk. That's who I was making this record for."

Those lucky enough to be at the Worthy Farm festival this evening can look forward to sets from the likes of Public Enemy, Primal Scream and of course Saturday's headline act The Rolling Stones.
