Grunge veterans Mudhoney are set to play a show on top of Seattle’s landmark the Space Needle next week, it has been reported.

According to Examiner the show will take place on July 11 as part of the 25th anniversary for iconic label Sub Pop. During the show the band will be tethered to the top of the building, which is 605 feet tall.

But that’s not the end of Mudhoney’s involvement in the birthday celebrations, with the band also set to perform at a free one-day festival hosted by he label on July 13 which will also feature Dinosaur Jr, Built To SPill, Pissed Jeans among others.

Formed in 1988, Sub Pop made its name as the label that was home many of the grunge scene’s biggest names, including Nirvana, Fugazi and Afgham Whigs. Mudhoney released their first single on the label, the now classic ‘Touch Me, I’m Sick’, on Sub Pop in the same year.
