Music fans are becoming increasingly uncompromising when it comes to acts turning up late, and now Rihanna has been booed for arriving half an hour late for her set at Roskilde festival on Friday (July 5).

The Danish festival kicked off on Thursday (July 4) and Rihanna was booked to play the Orange Stage on Friday evening. But when she arrived on stage 30 minutes after her slot was scheduled to start she was jeered by festival goers.

Dressed in a baseball jersey with the word ‘Poison’ on it, Rihanna played ‘Phresh Out The Runaway’ from her most recent album Unapologetic to start her set before running through a set including ‘Birthday Cake’ and ‘Talk That Talk’.

“Wow! What the fuck? Denmark, this shit is crazy,” the singer told the audience before playing ‘Pour It Up’, ‘My Love Is Your Love’, ‘Man Down’ and ‘Rude Boy’.

Rihanna is one of the worst stars when it comes to punctuality

She later told the crowd: “Denmark, I love you man. I feel the love, Denmark. I don’t just say these things. There’s just one thing you have to do right now, and that’s to say my name.”

Festival slots running half an hour late isn’t a terrifically rare occurrence, but audiences have become increasingly frustrated with pop acts turning up late since Justin Bieber kept the O2 waiting for two hours last year.
