Manic Street Preachers have announced details of their brand album and a UK tour, as well as premiering the title track as the first single. Watch the video for 'Rewind The Film' below.

Rewind The Film will be released on 16 September, 2013, following the single ‘Show Me The Wonder’ the week before. The Welsh three-piece have revealed the first taster for the album with the title track featuring Richard Hawley being made available for instant download with an album pre-order on iTunes.

The album is described as 'a more reflective, stripped-back sound whilst maintaining the classic Manics melody and unique lyricism'.

Talking to Gigwise earlier this year about his collaboration with the Manics, Richard Hawley said: "(Frontman James Dean Bradfield) phoned me and said ‘we’ve written this song and all decided that you have to sing it or it won’t go on the album’. So I just said ‘I can’t let you down’, and it was a great honour."

Hawley continued: "I drove down to Cardiff in a day and it’s a really beautiful song. I play a bit of Hawaiian guitar on it and it’s me and James doing a duet. He sings one part and I sing another. Nick wrote the words that I sing and James wrote his bit so it’s a very personal song and I was surprised that Nicky wanted me to sing it, but now that I’ve done it I can see why. It’s quite dramatic and acoustic."
