Kings of Leon have announced the release details of their new single 'Supersoaker'. Listen to a live version of the track below.
On 17 July, the US rockers will release 'Supersoaker', via iTunes, Amazon and other odigital retailers, as the first cut from their upcoming sixth record, Mechanical Bull. The track features the quickfire charm of their earlier material with the easy anthemics of their latter day work.
Last month, bassist Jared took to Twitter to invite questions from fans when he gave insight into the upcoming record's sound.
When one fan asked if the new material shared the classic "rookie" Kings Of Leon sound, Followill responded: "Not really. There are definitely elements of it. Songs. Not as a whole though. It's a culmination of all of them."
Elsewhere, fans asked which of the band's previous records the new LP was most comparable to, to which Followill replied: "Vibe/feeling could be compared to the first couple. It's much more musically complicated though, so I'd have to say the last 2."
