DJ and producer Diplo has claimed that Beyonce has scrapped her new album and is to start again.
Speaking to The Sun newspaper, Diplo seems to think the singer had abandoned a great deal of new material in order to restart it.
"I just did two songs for her new album," he said. "Well, I tried, I think she scrapped the record."
He continued: "The record was supposed to be done and they have been hitting me up for brand new ideas. I like to work from scratch, (but) sometimes I get called in to fix records".
Diplo also revealed he's working on some songs for Katy Perry's new album, though he's not sure if that will ever see the light of day to be honest.
Last month, it emerged that Ne-Yo had been working with both Beyonce on new material but that she was still 'figuring things out'
“I’m still putting stuff together for Beyonce’s album,” he told Rolling Stone.
“They’re still trying to figure out what they want that to be, which I’m not mad at. Beyonce’s the kind of artist where you’re not gonna see it til it’s right. And her fans - they love her so they’ll be patient.”
Presumably, much like Bey's.
Work began on the new Beyonce album with writing session in the Hamptons last summer. Justin Timberlake, The-Dream, and Sia are all among the collaborators working on the record.
So far neither a title nor release date have surfaced, but a few cuts of new music have appeared in the form of ‘Bow Down/I Been On’, ‘Grown Woman’ and ‘Standing On The Sun’.
