Bloc Party frontman, Kele Okereke has given an insight into how difficult being in a band can be when the members 'aren't the best at expressing emotions.'

The British four-piece have recently revealed that they will be going on another hiatus following their headline slot at next week's Latitude Festival and they aren't sure when the band will regroup.

Speaking of the band's troubles, Okereke told the Guardian: "There have been some things going on behind the stages and now we're working our way through it.

"Being in this band isn't always the easiest thing. We're four British young men that maybe aren't the best at expressing ourselves or our emotions."

Kele Okereke has explained Bloc Party's second hiatus

The quartet previously took a break after their 2009 album Intimacy, but made their eagerly awaited comeback last year with Four.

Okereke added: "We all have lives; we all have families; we all have other interests. It's not unheard of, or unhealthy, for us to go off and do that for a year."

Bloc Party will leave fans with a 5-track EP entitled, Nextwave Sessions which is set to be released on August 12, 2013.
