Professor Green has spoken out about the impact of his 'near death' car accident earlier this year and how it has effected his day to day life. Watch our video interview with him below.

In an interview with Gigwise, the 'Read All About It' rapper said that he felt 'lucky to be alive' after he was crushed between two cars - nearly four years to the day that he was stabbed in the neck.

"I'm recovering quite well - if I keep saying it then I might start to believe it myself," he said. "I'm still suffering.

"I was caught between doing what I needed to for my leg and doing what I need to for my own personal wellbeing and career. I didn't want to miss Glastonbury, but to do Glastonbury I had to do the warm-up shows or the band wouldn't have been ready and neither would I. The doctors said that I needed to rest and do physio. I'd already cancelled four gigs and I don't like letting people down. "

He continued: "There's never a convenient time for that to happen, but at the start of an album cycle and just before Glastonbury - it was as inconvenient as it could have possibly been, without it being any more serious.

"He hit me, carried me and then squashed me in between another car. Imagine that he hit me and I fell forward and it was my head that was caught. It makes me shiver. It could have been horrible."
