14 July, 2013: Apart from the headliners, (Green Day, Depeche Mode, Kings Of Leon), no other band drew quite as big a crowd to the main strage at Optimus Alive as Phoenix.

The band, who have never had a real hit single or album, have built their reputation on their incredible live shows. This weekend, they more than justified that reputation in Portugal, and were one of the most talked-about bands of the entire festival.

Opening the show with 'Entertainment, the lead single from current album Bankrupt!, the French four piece performed current single 'Trying To Be Cool' among Phoenix classics including 'Run Run Run', 'Liztomania' and '1901'.
