Lil Wayne's new video for his song 'God Bless Amerika' sees him taking to the streets and neighbourhoods of his home town of New Orleans. See the new video below.

In the video we see the rapper performing the song, taken from from his I'm Not A Human Being II, in front of the American Flag before it drops to reveal the streets of America.

The video received some unwanted controversy when clips surfaced of the American Flag on the floor and the rapper performing on top of it. This does not happen in the video and Lil Wayne is adament that it was never his intention to 'desecrate the flag of the United States of America.' He elaborates that the leaked clip 'was a camera trick clip that revealed that behind the American Flag was the Hoods of America. In the final edit of the video you will see the flag fall to reveal what is behind it but will never see it on the ground.”

The video and lyrical content are suggestive of the troubles in the land of the free. 'God bless america / this so godless america' raps Wayne, musing on policing of America. While it isn't quite flag stamping the rapper still seems to be making a point about society.
