The Vaccines announce new Melody Calling EP, released 12 August

Indie rockers 'The Vaccines' have revealed that they are set to release a new 4-track EP named 'Melody Calling'.

The Vaccines first unveiled the title track at their performance at this years Glastonbury, listen to it below.

The EP was recorded in LA in March during the band's sessions at Eldorado Studios in Burbank. Top producers Rich Costey (Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys) and John Hill (Rihanna, MIA, Santigold) were present and the EP will be released on August 12th, by which time The Vaccines' US tour will be well underway.The band will be supporting Mumford and Sons and Phoenix.

The West London four-piece currently has two full albums to their name and a string of singles, and although it has not been confirmed whether this new EP is a precursor for a new album frontman Justin Young commented on the new songs in an interview with NME: "They feel like a bridge to something else so I guess they'll be an EP. There is a small chance they might be the start of album three."
