'Get Lucky' collaborator Nile Rodgers claims the second Daft Punk single from Random Access Memories will be released in August of this year.
The Chic legend took to his blog to deny claims that Daft Punk would be joining him at his New York show in August, but did let slip that the band would be dropping their new single around the time of his NY show.
"There’s going to be me, my band CHIC, and some of the hottest acts and surprises on the planet that day... which happens to be around the time the next Daft Punk single drops (I’m just saying)," he wrote on his blog.
Daft Punk have repeatedly denied they plan to perform Random Access Memories live, but the rumours refuse to die.
In June of this year, Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manuel de Homem-Christo were seen shooting a video in New York, but it is uncertain what the shoot was for.

Daft Punk have been exceptionally busy in 2013. Not only have they released the biggest selling album of the year, they are also branching out into the contraceptive industry, with a range of Get Lucky condoms set to hit the shelves later this year.
