Jay-Z's reign at the top of the UK album chart is set to come to an end this week, with US star Robin Thicke set to claim the top spot with his new release, Blurred Lines.
However, Thicke faces some stiff competition from British pop legends, Pet Shop Boys, who are also heading to the top of the charts with their latest album, Electric.
In the midweek album chart, Robin Thicke is currently No.1, Pet Shop Boys No.2 and Jay-Z at No.3. Thicke is reportedly just 1,500 copies ahead of PSB.
On the singles chart, Swedish DJ Avicii is on course for a No.1 single with his new single 'Wake Me Up', and looks likely to become the year's fastest selling single, having already sold 153,000 this week already. Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines is the current record holder, with sales of 191,000 in its first week on sale earlier this year.
