Fans of Atoms for Peace wanting to experience the band's upcoming sold out London Roundhouse shows will be able to listen online immediately.

Two of the shows, Thursday 25th and Friday 26th, will be available to purchase on-line for live streaming and download on music platform soundhalo. The site offers the chance for people to watch a performance 'as it happens'.

Band member and producer Nigel Godrich has made a statement concerning the descision, claiming  "I found myself wondering why, whenever you go to a gig, the next day there are a million shaky, horrible sounding YouTube videos already online. But you go and look because you want to see something of your experience."

Godrich adds that soundhalo "provides something really functional", and mentions that the intention was so that people at the concert would be able to remember the experience straight away. "To be able to relive that is a really great thing."

While this reasoning sounds rather cynical, attempting to cut fan made recordings out of the loop and making even more money, no doubt fans will jump at this opportunity to get better quality live recordings. The release may also be appreciated by fans who could not get tickets, and will be able to share in the live experience online.
