Jay-Z has decided to change his name, by simply removing the hyphen.
After releasing Magna Carta Holy Grail, Jay-Z is now to become known simply as just Jay Z after the Hov's label informed journalists that they now no longer have to include the '-'.
Jay's official website Life + Times were the first to make the changes before iTunes quickly altered all tracks and albums to now list him as just Jay Z too.
It's not quite as drastic as Snoop Lion or The Artist Formerly Known as Prince, but one can't help but wonder why he felt the need to make the change
