Foals brought Latitude Festival 2013 to a close with a hit-packed set last night - marking their first headline slot at a major UK festival.

Rising to the challenge, the Oxford math-rockers drew a huge crowd to the Obelisk Arena before tearing through an energetic 13 song set that included 'Total Life Forever, 'Inhaler', 'My Number' and fan favourite 'Two Steps, Twice'.

Driven by the rapturous response they received in a performance that only be described as 'career defining', frontman Yannis Philippakis was often seen stage diving and invading the audience. See them again on the main stage at Reading and Leeds this August.

Shortly before Foals took to the stage, Disclosure and Rudimental played two guest-rammed sets on the BBC Radio 6 Music stage where they sent the packed tent into a dance frenzy.

Another highlight of the day was James Blake, who's normally dark and moody sound was translated into some fittingly blissed out vibes and festival-goers lay strewn across the field in the scorching setting sun.

A surprising peak came from Swedish singer-songwriter and multimedia artist IAMAMIWHOAMI, who delighted a modest but impressed crowd at the 6 Music Stage with an enigmatic performance of ethereal but undeniably danceable tunes.

Speaking to Gigwise after her set, IAMAMIWHOAMI Jonna Lee said that it was a great experience for the band.

"We've played two shows in London before but never a festival, so we didn't know what to expect," she said," but it was great - and this isn't a festival where people only come to dance and party so it was interesting to see sober people there enjoying us. It was a challenge actually but I enjoyed it."

Laura Mvula pulled a huge crowd into the 6 Music tent earlier in the day to make for the perfect chilled out hangover cure and escape from the sun, before rising psych-pop stars Temples more than lived up the hype.

Bobby Womack played the prestigious midday guest slot on the main stage with a set strewn with classics like 'Across 100th Street' and newer cuts like 'The Bravest Man In The Universe'. Receiving a hero's welcome, the soul legend fulfilled the standard filled by previous years' guests such as Thom Yorke and Tom Jones.

Previous days at Latitude saw headline sets from Bloc Party and Kraftwerk.
