Orchestral Manouvres in the Dark have been forced to cancel all remaining 2013 tour dates after drummer Malcolm Holmes was taken ill.
The band revealed on their official Facebook page that Holmes was hospitalised with heat exhaustion following a gig in Toronto.
“We are sorry to inform you that Malcolm was taken ill during last nights [7/20] show in Toronto," they posted. "He’s currently being treated for heat exhaustion in hospital but is recovering well. Sadly however we have to cancel the remaining shows of the year (including Rewind festival).
"Please accept our sincere apologies, we really appreciate your understanding at this very difficult time. We will give you more news on Malcolm as and when.”
OMD have cancelled all upcoming tour dates
The electro pop pioneers were touring their current record, English Electric, and recently had a special gig in London's Roundhouse to commemorate the group's 35th anniversary.
