The long-awaited Bjork and David Attenborough documentary will be broadcast this Saturday (27 July, 2013).

The duo's collaboration, Attenborough & Bjork: The Nature Of Music will be shown on Channel 4 at 7pm on Saturday and is part of C4's Mad4Music season, which aims to challenge the way audiences interact with music.

The pair previously collaborated in 2011 when Attenborough narrated Bjork's Manchester international residency.

In 2011, Bjork told Rolling Stone magazine that David Attenborough was her 'rock star' when she was growing up in Iceland when she was a science obsessed child.

The documentary is made by Pulse Films, the producers responsible for Katy Perry's Part Of Me 3D and Blur's No Distance Left To Run. Lucas Ochoa, the film's executive producer says: "Born from Bjork's revolutionary music project [2011's 'Biophilia'] we are thrilled to be able to document this incredible journey with her; she is undeniably one of the most iconic figures in popular culture and truly pushes boundaries like no other artist does".

The duo struck up a friendship while making the documentary, which includes focus on natural sounds such as whale song.

Speaking of his fondness for the Icelandic star, Attenborough previously told The Sun newspaper: "I called her 'honey'. She is really quite enchanting."
