More about:

Stereophonics were forced to cancel a gig in Australia after frontman Kelly Jones was taken ill last night (Tuesday 23 July).

The Welsh four-piece were due to play at The Palace in Melbourne, but Jones was diagnosed with a 'respiratory infection' and unable to perform.

Jones has since issued the following statement: "I regret, that due to a respiratory infection I will not be able to perform tonight in Melbourne. This is only the second show we have cancelled in 17 years and no one is more disappointed than I am not to be able to rock n' roll tonight."

Fans have been offered refunds.

We wish Jones a speedy recovery and hope he gets just enough medication to perform.
