Kendal Calling festival, held in the stunning surroundings of the Lake District, is set to be streamed live for the first time via the festival website and video hosting site Daily Motion.
This announcement accompanies the news that the festival has sold out for the 8th year running, so those without tickets can catch up on-line. Primal Scream are among the acts to be confirmed for live streaming, although more specific details have yet to be released.
Kendal Calling promoter Ben Robinson commented: 'We can't wait for the show to begin, we have some real treats & surprises in store for you all on site.' He adds that he is extremely excited about the first live stream and claims 'we have some amazing content coming to everyone's homes!'
Dailymotion has streamed 50 million hours of live music so far this year, and is proving itself an excellent platform for the task. Marc Eychenne, Dailymotion's Head of International Content , believes the year is 'the Summer of Festivals on Dailymotion' naming Kendal Calling as one of the leading events they are showing. He adds: 'Music fans around the world can watch great music from a fantastic event live on Dailymotion or embed our player onto their own social media pages to share with friends.'

The festival begins this Friday and ends on Sunday, and the three days are packed with music and arts across 12 stages. Primal Scream, Public Enemy, Seastick Steve, Basement Jaxx, The Charlatans, British Sea Power, The D.O.T. and Foreign Beggars are only a selection of the acts on offer from the festival which is set to be an excellent weekend.
