Mick Jagger has revealed he is keen for Rolling Stones to return to Hyde Park for more big gigs, after claiming the band's two July shows there this year were 'beautiful'.
The band headlined two gigs in early July, following their spectacular headline slot at Glastonbury in June. When quizzed about future gigs in the central London park, Mick Jagger admitted that they had not been asked to return, but would 'love' to return for future gigs.
"Not this year... I haven't given it any thought and nor has it been offered. But I’d love to do it," Jagger tells NME in an interview. "It's a great gig. I did enjoy it. It was beautiful... It turned out to be so wonderful with the sun going down behind the park. It was a perfect London evening."

He also spoke of the differences between this year's show and their legendary Hyde Park performance in 1969, revealing how the audiences differed between the shows, with friends at their original gig and family at their 2013 shows.
"The funny thing is when you see the '69 one it's all your mates onstage sitting down," he added. "But this time I saw some of my kids sitting on the side of stage. It's like chalk and cheese really."

The Rolling Stones were supported by indie newcomer Jake Bugg in Hyde Park, who revealed the audience weren't sure who he and his band were - but that performing with them was a huge honour.
"I said to the lads, when you go on the stage, just assume everyone there doesn't know who the fuck we are," Bugg told Gigwise. "So if one person claps, it's a bonus. They weren't very enthusiastic when we were on, but you know, you're supporting the fucking Rolling Stones, what can you expect? That's an honour in itself."
