Music icon and timeless pin-up Debbie Harry is planning to quit music at the age of 68, according to her bandmate, drummer Clem Burke.

Debbie Harry and Blondie have worked almost constantly since the 1970s, and after 40 years on the scene, the 'Call Me' icon is considering a retirement.

"Debbie is 11 years older than the rest of us, so it’s on her mind," says Burke, reports The Daily Mail. "We’ve tried to keep it going for as long as possible, but it’s not just up to me. Nothing is finalised yet, but obviously there’s no Blondie without Debbie Harry."

Nothing official has been confirmed, but a spokesperson for Debbie Harry has admitted that Blondie are currently taking a break from work, before returning for more live dates.

"They are in a hiatus at the moment," says Debbie Harry's spokesperson. "They will do some tour dates next year. Nothing is confirmed yet."
