2012 X Factor runner up Jahmene Douglas has knocked US r&b star Robin Thicke from the No.1 album spot with debut release, Love Never Fails.
The singer, who placed second on last year's series of the show, hit No.1 with his collection of cover versions, including a reworking of David Guetta and Sia's chart topping 'Titanium'. Thicke drops to No.2 with Blurred Lines while Jay-Z slips a place to No.3.
The album chart is relatively quiet for new entries, with the next highest entry from Selena Gomez, whose Stars Dance album enters at No.14.
The Rolling Stones' Hyde Park Live album enters at No.16, Fuck Buttons are new at No.36 with Slow Focus and Hey Hello by Hey! Hello enters at No.37.

On the single chart, One Direction fail to topple Avicii from No.1, as his country-tinged 'Wake Me Up' single remains on top for a second week. The X Factor boyband enter at No.2 with their latest single, 'Best Song Ever'.
'Blurred Lines' by Robin Thicke drops to No.3, 'Love Me Again' by John Newman slips to No.4 and 'I Love It' by Icona Pop is at No.5.
There are no other new entries in the Top 40.
