The 1975 last week premiered the video for their new single 'Sex' and caused quite a stir - not least with their fans, who weren't sold on the band's controversial release.

But fans of The 1975 didn't take issue with the nudity or drug use shown in the 'Sex' video, instead, they were disappointed the band had ditched the black and white aesthetic they have used since their early days.
"There's been a reaction to it. People have really kicked off about it. It's in colour for a start, and all of our fans are like 'oh, I preferred the old video', which is so predictable, it's sweet," frontman Matt Healy told Gigwise at last weekend's Kendal Calling festival.
"I think what that is, is kids reinstating how cool they are and showing people that they saw us first. I get that. That's totally cool."
