Having recently supported Disclosure on their UK tour earlier in the year and scored a Top 40 single with their track 'Mozart's House', London quartet Clean Bandit are destined for big and brilliant things.

What allegedly started out as an experiment, has now developed into the creation of a sound which is unique, original and exciting. Made from a fantastical hybrid of strings, drums and decks, Clean Bandit have gone on to create music that is best described as an electro classical garage love-child.

Although all of their tracks are partly composed with classical string instruments, Jack Patterson states that garage has been a strong influence for the band.

"For me garage is quite a new thing," he tells Gigwise. "I grew up near Liverpool and I don't know how true this is but moving down to London four years ago, there were loads of of music that I'd just never heard of before, it's almost like it didn't get that far up north."

The band's talents are not just confined to their music, they also create all their own videos. If you haven't already seen them, you must, the videos can only be described as visually ingenius. The eccentric and beautiful productions for tracks 'Dust Clears', 'A&E' and 'Mozart's House' are all examples of how their videos are just as innovative as their sound.

Signed to Black Butter Records, the label behind some of the most exciting in rising british musical talent, Clean Bandit this week release their second EP 'Dust Clears', the follow up to the 'Mozart's House' EP.

Jack describes the video for their latest single release 'Dust Clears' as an incredible experience.

"We had so much fun making it, we skated over 30k over the course of the weekend, skating across the lake at the location in Sweden," he says. "It was the most beautiful place I've ever been to and it was phenomenal to see the sun rises and sunsets over the mountains."

Despite making many festival appearances this summer, including a slot at Glastonbury, the London four piece are yet to release their debut album. The tracks that Clean Bandit have put out so far all feature a variety of talented vocalists. Multi-instrumentalist for the band, Jack Patterson, confirms that the forthcoming album will also feature other collaborations.
