Gavin and Stacey actor James Corden is being rumoured to host the 2014 BRIT Awards ceremony - marking the fourth time that he has presented the event.
The Sun newspaper reports that Corden is 'in talks' with organisers and wanted to know more about the musical line-up of the evening before agreeing to anything.
'A source' apparently told the paper: "“It would be the obvious thing for James to bow out with the ratings success under his belt. But instead he has made it clear he wants to finish on a belter of a show.
“The last awards was gentle and the live acts a bit flat, so he’s asked what the new man in charge has up his sleeve.”
This year's BRIT Awards attracted their highest ratings in their 30-year history, but the winners, line-up and the choice of Corden as host divided opinion among viewers and critics.

Last year, winners included Tom Odell, Emeli Sande, Ben Howard, Mumford & Sons, Coldplay, Lana Del Rey, Frank Ocean and The Black Keys.
Depeche Mode also caused controversy when they said that they turned down the Lifetime Achievement Award, adding: "Fuck the BRITS."
Frontman Dave Gahan said: "Let me tell you a story. I will probably get someone in trouble, but we were told we were getting a new award this year. Most Influential Band In The Last 20 Years or something? Basically the old bastard, Lifetime Achievement Award — and we said, ‘Yes that’s cool'. Then we heard through the grapevine ITV wouldn’t broadcast our segment. So we said, ‘If they won’t play us on air, then we’re not going to be their most influential band.’
He added: "How many other bands have had as many hits as us worldwide and been around for as long? F*** them then and b****cks to it."
