Prime Minister David Cameron gave the world's leading politicians a specially created playlist featuring the 'best of British' at this year's G8 summit, it has been revealed.

Cameron presented world leaders with a USB containing ten, specially selected tracks representing British music. The G8 summit took place at the Lough Erne Golf Resort in Enniskillen, Northern Ireland, and political leaders including Obama, Vladamir Putin and Angela Merkel were all sent on their way with an audio souvenir of their UK visit.

The playlist was specially created by the BPI and features tracks from all the major UK record labels. The BPI described the USB as "a bespoke creation for the leaders" and stated it was not "available for reproduction."

The playlist focused mostly on UK singer songwriters, such as Laura Mvula, Conor Maynard, Ben Howard and Gabrielle Aplin, but added an urban flair with tracks from London dance collective Rudimental and teen R&B star Conor Maynard.
