A recording of Prince covering Shania Twain's classic 'You're Still The One' has surfaced online. Listen to the track below.
Writer Dan Chamberlain posted the track on his Tumblr account, saying that it dates back to 1998 after The Purple One heard the single on the radio for the first time before rushing to his studio to record his own rendition.
“Ripping old mix CDs on to my laptop I found this Napster-era cover, briefly available as a RealPlayer stream on Prince’s website," wrote Chamberlain. "Like his covers of 'One of Us' and 'I Can’t Make U Love Me' off 1996’s Emanicpation, the arrangement isn’t earth-shattering but the solo at 2:15 is terrific, plus you could not be listening to Prince cover Shania Twain, so y’know.”
