Daft Punk are apparently set to be making a very rare TV appearance on US comedy talk show The Colbert Report next week.
The elusive dance duo have done very little publicity around the release of Random Access Memories and no television slots or live dates. But now, rumours are circulating of them appearing on Colbert's Comedy Central show after he appeared on Jimmy Fallon's late night show, surprising the audience by dancing onto the stage to 'Get Lucky' before a promise post appeared on The Colbert Reports wesbite.
The post reads: "Last night Stephen Colbert made a surprise appearance on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’ (07:20 – 08:15), dancing his way onto the show, Stephen boogied-on down with Jimmy Fallon to Daft Punk’s new single ‘Get Lucky’ (feat. Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers) from their new album ‘Random Access Memory’, before dancing his way back behind the blue curtain. Not as random as it seems, the bit is all to do with the upcoming appearance of Daft Punk on ‘The Colbert Report’."

It may have something to do with the fact that a new Daft Punk single is due this month, according to Nile Rodgers.
The Chic legend took to his blog to deny claims that Daft Punk would be joining him at his New York show in August, but did let slip that the band would be dropping their new single around the time of his NY show.
"There’s going to be me, my band CHIC, and some of the hottest acts and surprises on the planet that day... which happens to be around the time the next Daft Punk single drops (I’m just saying)," he wrote on his blog.
