Lady Gaga tweets lyrics to her new song 'Applause'

Lady Gaga has tweeted the lyrics to her forthcoming single ‘Applause’, which will feature on her eagerly anticipated album ARTPOP.

The pop star revealed that new single and its video will drop on August 19 in a tweet at the end of July.

Earlier today (August 4) she tweeted the lyrics:

“I stand here waiting
For you to bang the gong
To crash the critic saying:
Is it right or is it wrong?
8.19"

ARTPOP Is due for release on November 11, and will also be released as an app which “combines music, art, fashion and technology with a new interactive worldwide community.”

Elsewhere in the news, Lady Gaga has been accused of breaching immigration laws and promoting ‘gay propaganda’ during a 2012 show. Russian politician Vitaly Milonov has filed a request for the prosecutor general to launch an investigation into her stay in the country, claiming that she broke the law by performing in Russia for money while only having a tourist visa.

Milonov has previously made similar claims about Madonna, and both artists are accused of ‘promoting homosexuality’ by Milonov.

The case regarding Gaga’s visa may be forwarded to the Foreign Ministry and the Federal Migration Service for further investigation. A representative for the prosecutor general said: “The visas issued wre of the basic cultural exchange sort, which does not grant their bearers the right to engage in any commercial activity.”
