Calvin Harris has broken his own chart record, scoring his ninth Top Ten hit with singles taken from the same album.

The Scottish star's accomplishment follows his initial record of overtaking Michael Jackson's record of seven Top 10 singles from one album back in April with 'I Need Your Love' featuring Ellie Goulding.

Harris tweeted about the announcement after his most recent single, 'Thinking About You' featuring Ayah Marah, reached number nine in the charts this weekend.

Made a bit of chart history today! Thinking About You went Top 10 in UK...the first time anyone has had 9 top 10 singles from one album! :D

His third studio release, 18 months, has never strayed far from the charts since it's release in October last year. Having spent two weeks at Number 1 and 40 weeks in the Top 40, it has now sold a total of 540,000 copies.

The record is filled with chart topping singles that now date back to June 2011. 'Bounce' featuring Kelis was the first single to be taken from the album, shortly followed by 'Feel So Close'.

18 months is heavily packed with collaborations, featuring high profile vocals from a number of artists. The list includes Rihanna on 'We Found Love', Florence Welch on 'Sweet Nothing, Tinie Tempah on 'Drinking From The Bottle' and 'I Need Your Love' with Ellie Goulding.
