Beady Eye promise update after Gem Archer suffers 'serious head trauma'

Beady Eye have promised fans they will issue an update on guitarist Gem Archer, who has been hospitalised after suffering a severe head trauma. Archer is said to be in a stable condition, but remains under observation in hospital after an accident.

Prior to this update, the band had stated that they were cancelling their gigs in Belgium and Japan due to an injury suffered by Archer however it is not certain whether they will be able to play their next scheduled performance at V Festival. 

The band have released a statement thanking everyone for their support and well wishes.

They have also issued an apology to fans, stating "They are very sorry for any disappointment this will cause but as Gem is an integral part of the band there is no way that they can play without him."

The band have confirmed that an update on Gem's condition will follow.
