Ibiza Rocks is set to bring some balearic heat to the French ski resort of Meribel this winter, with the first ever Ibiza Rocks The Snow announced today. Full details below.

This summer's Ibiza Rocks is currently in full swing on the White Isle and Gigwise is on Ibiza covering this week's event, but the party will extend well into the winter of 2013 / 2014 with the new, France-based event.

A new youth-orientated event, mixing music with skiing and snowboarding, the event takes place across three weeks from December 2013 to early April, 2014. The first events take place on 14-21 December 2013, 8-15 February 2014 and 29 March-4 April 2014.

In an official statement on Ibiza Rocks The Snow, organiser Andy McKay says: "Ibiza Rocks is a groundbreaking group and this is another first. As a youth lifestyle focused travel company, we are uniquely positioned to bring music centric holidays into the winter market and to bring the world famous Rocks atmosphere to the heart of the Alps.

"Ibiza Rocks is not just an event or a holiday, it’s a whole lifestyle and we can’t wait to take the spirit of Ibiza Rocks from the poolside to the piste this winter."

Bands are yet to be announced, but festival fans should expect an eclectic, cutting edge line-up, as the Ibiza Rocks events are known for mixing huge names with rising stars on the music scene at their Ibiza shows.
