Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson has paid tribute to TV legend Sir Bruce Forsyth after the Strictly Come Dancing host attended their recent London gig.
The 85 year old entertainer and Strictly Come Dancing presenter shocked the metal legends by turning up to their O2 Arena show last Saturday (3 August) without the band's knowledge.
Frontman Bruce Dickinson confessed his dismay at missing the entertainer to the crowd the following evening telling their audience: "We had Strictly Come Dancing in the house last night. Bruce Forsyth was here, which is absolutely f**king unbelievable.
"I wish I'd have known, I would have said, 'Nice to see you, to see you nice.'"
The band was playing the O2 as part of their Maiden England tour, which resumes in September with dates in the US.

We have learnt to expect the unexpected with Sir Brucey, as the news comes shortly after he made his debut at Glastonbury Festival on the Avalon Stage. Describing it as a "sensational" experience he added, "I didn't expect it to affect me so much. It was so emotional at the end."
