Lady Gaga has requested that fans do not listen or share to leaked versions of her new track 'Burqa / Aura', which have spread online this week.

Initial reports suggested that Lady Gaga may have leaked the demo version of the ARTPOP track herself, but speaking to fans on her Little Monsters website, the star has asked fans to remove the track from anywhere they may have posted it.

When asked by fans what she thought of the leak, she replied simply: "Please take these down as much as possible."

The track has been removed from many Soundcloud and YouTube sources, but still remains online in certain places.

The US star is set to premiere a new single 'Applause' on 19 August 2013, but ahead of that, the experimental and, quite frankly, bonkers new track has made its appearance online yesterday (6 August, 2013). The track is credited as being titled 'Burqa', but it has been claimed online the official title is 'Aura'.

The track is an energetic pop track with noisy dance influences and was reportedly produced by US newcomer Zedd, who scored a UK chart hit earlier in 2013 with his Foxes collaboration, 'Clarity'.
