Deadmau5 has been targetted by furious Lady Gaga fans after he criticised her new video with artist Marina Abramovic, with her 'little monsters' threatening his mother and urging the dance star to kill himself.
Gaga revealed the video today, which sees her stripping off in a forest, by a river and in a cabin (all in the name of art, obviously). It is the latest offering in a long line of promotional build ups for her forthcoming third studio album ARTPOP.
Posting the video on his Twitter, Deadmau5 (AKA Joel Zimmerman) wrote: "What the actual fuck? If some idiot howls in the woods and noones around, does it make a sound? MYTH BUSTED."
In a string of subsequent tweets (now deleted) Deadmau5 reveals threats from Lady Gaga's 'little monsters, including one alleged tweet from a user who threatened to kill his mother.He stated that user @noxoasis crossed 'the invisible line' of the internet with his message.
Zimmerman later revealed that Lady Gaga fans had also urged him to commit suicide, sharing more messages online.
Deadmau5 is known for his outspoken views as much as he is his electronic music, and recently blamed Justin Bieber for ruining his chances of appearing on BBC show, Top Gear.
