US teen starlet Miley Cyrus has scored her first ever UK No.1 single with her controversial new single, 'We Can't Stop'.

The track includes the line 'dancing with Molly' - which is a reference to MDMA, with Cyrus previously confirming that she does indeed mention the rave drug in the track. "I don't think people have a hard time understanding that I've grown up," she told The Daily Mail recently. "You can Google me and you know what I'm up to - you know what that lyric is saying."

The Hollywood hellraiser topples DJ Avicii from the top spot, as he slips to No.2 with his summer anthem, 'Wake Me Up'. London rapper Tinie Tempah makes a welcome return to the charts at No.3 with his new single 'Trampoline' and the Cedric Gervais remix of Lana Del Rey's 'Summertime Sadness' spends another week at No.4. Robin Thicke rounds off the top five with his huge 'Blurred Lines' single, which drops to No.5.

Outside the Top Ten, there is just one new entry in the new Top 40, as Kings Of Leon enter at No.31 with their new single, 'Wait For Me', from upcoming album, Mechanical Bull.

On the album chart, Britain's Got Talent duo Richard & Adam hit the top spot with their debut release, The Impossible Dream and turbluent US band The Civil Wars enter at No.2 with their self-titled album - despite the band not having spoken for some time.

Example enters at No.11 with his first singles collection, #hits, and hotly tipped new indie band Swim Deep enter at No.20 with their debut, Where The Heaven Are We and Asking Alexandria enter at No.28 with their new release From Death To Destiny.
