Josh Record is set for big things in the latter half of 2013, with his new single 'The War' currently on rotation at Radio One on their In New Music We Trust playlist.

The 25-year-old Brixton based musician has picked up mainstream attention from the likes of Steve Lamacq and Zane Lowe to date, has been likened to Justin Vernon of Bon Iver. This summer he performed at Glastonbury and Latitude festivals - two of the summer's key events.

To mark the release of Record releasing 'The War' this week, the Londoner has performed a special cover of Lana Del Rey's current Top Ten hit, 'Summertime Sadness', which is today premiering on Gigwise. Check it out below.

The self-shot video sees Record performing the track in his studio, with lush electronic production replacing the dark Americana vibes of the original - and a far cry from the Cedric Gervais remix which has propelled Lana back into the UK charts.

Record's new single 'The War' is out now. Check out his Lana Del Rey cover version below.
