After new single 'Applause' was leaked online, leading to an early release, Lady Gaga is now emploring fans to buy it in numerous time order to be in with a chance of meeting her and watching her iTunes festival performance.
In an attempt to beat Katy Perry's arguably superior single 'Roar' to the No.1 spot, the eccentric superstar has now been accused of exploiting the adoration of her Little Monsters fanbase to get there.
Writing on Twitter yesterday, Gaga said;
Screenshot your 'Applause' purchase @ladygaga request to radio, & hashtag #Applause well choose 2 devoted fans to go WITH me to ITunes fest!

In a second tweet yesterday, even went so far as to say that if they bought multiple copies, they would increase their chances of winning.
The 2 fans w the most purchase/gift screenshots, radio requests, 'Applause' selfies/video, will fly international to meet me+watch the show!

'Applause' was released early after being leaked online and Gaga, in hallmark dramatic fashion, declared it a "pop music emergency". Despite what cynics may believe to be underhand tactics, it's rather exciting to have a proper chart battle again.
