Prince has shocked fans by joining Twitter and has done so in style - sharing photos of his dinner and his first selfie online. He has also unveiled a new song. Listen to 'Groovy Potential' below.
The Purple One has signed up to the social network under the moniker of his 3rdEyeGirl band and website, under which he has recently been releasing music.
The account has existed for months, but has just been verified as His Royal Badness seems to have taken over the account himself for some more personal posts.

Prince has been releasing a long-run a new tracks via his 3rdEyeGirl website recently, and the 'Purple Rain' superstar has also sparked hope for a new album soon after signing a new record deal with Kobalt Music Group - enabling him to release his own music along with other artists under his management and guidance.
