Placebo have opened up more about their upcoming album, Loud Like Love, in a new trailer for the LP. Watch the clip below .
"The album does touch on certain timely subjects," says frontman Brian Molko in the video, "like addiction for example or social media - but for me I'm kind of writing about people rather than those things themselves.
"I think essentially what I'm writing about is relationships and the way that people relate to each other."

"Every time we made a record, we have reacted quite veciferously to its predecessor," said Brian Molko to Gigwise. This time around, we've made a record which is more diverse in terms of instrumentation - it's slightly more schizo' and covers more ground sonically and takes a few more risks. In terms of song-writing it's more direct and much more vulnerable in places, than we've ever been before."
He continued: "A lot of people have said to us that 'you write songs about drugs' or this and that and specific things, and I really don't think that's true. I think we've either written about ourselves or we've written about people or relationships to sex or drugs or whatever. I think that really comes into its own on this record."
Loud Like Love is released on 16 September, 2013. The trio have also announced a series of UK dates for autumn, including dates in Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and London. Tickets are on sale now. Check out the full list of Placebo dates below, and for more information visit Gigwise Gig Tickets.
