Dave Grohl has confirmed a brand new Foo Fighters album has been written, and suggested the band's new record will be released in 2014.
The legendary rocker also teased Foo fans by saying the LP will be made, "in a way that no one's ever done before".
Speaking to XFM, Grohl said: "Well, I'll tell you, we have been in our studio writing and in the past few weeks, we've written an album."
"We are going to make this album in a way that no one's ever done before, and we're pretty excited about it."

However, Grohl admitted that the rock group are yet to record any of the tracks in the studio, but didn't see why they couldn't have it wrapped up by 2014.
He added: "It's a little way off – it's not ready to happen right now, but I think next year is going to be a really big year for the Foo Fighters without question. It's going to be great, I can't wait."
2014 will be a huge year for Foo Fighters if the UK’s bookmakers have anything to do with it as the American band have been named bookies' early favourites for Glastonbury 2014 along with Kasabian.
