The Weeknd has unveiled his remix of Lorde's chart-topping single, 'Royals'. Listen to the track below.
Continuing what is a very prolific period for Abel Tesfaye that has seen a flood of new material from the Canadian star, including the album's title track alongside the brilliant 'Belong To The World' as well as collaborations with Kavinsky, Juicy J and Ricky Hill, his spin on Lorde's 'Royals' pumps it full of swelling synths and driving r&b beats while also adding his inimatably sultry yet soulful vocals as backing.
Lorde recently became the first solo female to reach No.1 in Billboard's Alternative chart with 'Royals', since Tracy Bonham topped it with 'Mother Mother' 17 years ago. Born Ella Yelich-O'Connor, the New Zealand singer songwriter Lorde has achieved a massive breakthrough success with the track taken from her debut EP The Love Club. The single is also due to feature on her debut album Pure Heroine, which is set for release in September.
