Frontman of US band The Calling was abducted, severely beaten and left for dead on train tracks after a visit to Lapeer, Michigan over the weekend.
Sources close to 32-year-old singer Alex Band have spoken of the incident to US gossip website TMZ, and while Michigan police would not confirm details of the attack, stated that they are investigating a reported incident involving the singer.
The TMZ report claims that Band was hauled into a van in the early hours of Sunday morning after walking to a local supermarket, close to a hotel he was staying at in the city. He was then reportedly badly beaten and dumped on nearby train tracks.
The same sources report that his disappearance was reported by his band members, who began a search for the 'Wherever You Will Go' singer in the local area. He was found in a bad condition shortly afterwards.
