A$AP Rocky has responded to Kendrick Lamar's controversial verse in 'Control' by Big Sean.
Big Sean's 'Control' collaboration with Lamar and Jay Electronica has been one of the most talked-about new tracks of the month - in part because of the lyrics, in which the 'Swimming Pools (Drank)' rapper compares himself to some of the biggest rappers in the game - including Eminem, Jay-Z, Nas, Andre 3000, J Cole, Wale, A$ap Rocky, Drake, Pusha T Mac Miller and more - stating: "I got love for you all but I'm tryna murder you... tryna make sure your core fans never heard of you."
Talking to Funk Flex at US radio station Hot 97, A$AP Rocky praised the track and noted the importance of competition within hip hop culture and called Lamar 'one of the most talented rappers of our generation'.
"That King of New York shit? You smoking crack, you crazy," said Rocky. "I mean, honestly, though, K.Dot and them n*****s, that's fam. I think hip-hop needs this shit.
"There's n*****s pissed off just because they wasn't mentioned. The n***** didn't say nothing about nobody's mother… he ain't want problems. He just said, 'these is my n******, and I'm letting y'all know it's competition.' What's the problem?"
Rocky added: "That man know I'm where he at. Hip-hop is all about the sport. It's all about the culture."

The music world has come out in force to respond to Kendrick since the track's release. See artists' reactions below:
P.Diddy spoke of his support for Lamar, tweeting: "Kendrick got y'all n***** takin y'all time now! This is good ! What y'all gonna do now? Haaaaa lol lets go!"
Pusha T tweeted: "I hear u loud and clear my n****."
Wale told TMZ: "I'd've been offended if my name wasn't in that s***."
Meek Mill told a Philidelphia radio station: "Kendrick Lamar, I don't think he was trying to insult any of us, you know. We all know each other personally."
50 Cent, who Lamar neglected to name in his verse, tweeted a photo of a number of rappers named in the verse in a cowboy scene, with the message: "This is HipHop lol kendricklamar said you n***** better head for the hills. LMAO." He clearly spent a lot of time on Photoshop putting that on together.
Iggy Azalea tells HipHopDX: "I think it's a f**king great, amazing verse but I do feel like some people are kind of sensationalising healthy competition."
Public Enemy icon Chuck D said on Twitter: "This kid smashes stages... Works the songs LIVE better than studio. Too many rappers now are afraid to take it to the stage w/against each other."
The track also caught the attention of Lindsay Lohan's father, Michael Lohan, who was less than impressed with the mention his actress daughter received in the track.
The offending Lohan line reads: "Mollies’ll prolly turn these n*ggass to f*ckin’ Lindsay Lohan. A bunch of rich ass white girls lookin’ for parties/ Playin with Barbies, wreck the Porsche before you give ‘em the car key."
Speaking to Radar Online, Michael Lohan reacted to diss by saying: "He’s an idiot,” adding he’s “senseless. What can you say to a moron? I don’t know who this guy is. I ‘ve never heard of him. That says enough about what his opinion is."
He contined: "He wishes he was in as good of a place as Lindsay."
