December will be a big time for UK dance music fans, as the two biggest earning DJs in the world perform five enormous shows on their join UK tour. Tickets for Calvin Harris and Tiesto's tour are sure to sell out, fast, and understandably so - these are two of the most successful dance artists on the planet, responsible for some of the biggest floor fillers over the past few years.
But what can fans expect from the Calvin Harris and Tiesto gigs? We've taken a purely speculative gamble on some of the things UK ravers ought to get prepared for, from big name guests to lads. Lots and lots of lads...
Special guests: Between Calvin Harris and Tiesto, the two of them have worked with some of the biggest names in music. OK, so we don't expect for Rihanna to pop up in Glasgow to sing 'We Found Love' for three minutes and them toddle off back to her hotel, but when you've worked with Kelis, Ellie Goulding, Tinie Tempah, Example, Florence Welch, Dizzee Rascal, Cheryl Cole and Scissor Sisters - there must be a favour or two you can call in.
A BIG budget show: Calvin Harris and Tiesto earned, between them, £50million in the past 12 months, so we can expect more than a few coloured bulbs and a mirrorball at their UK shows. Playing at some of the UK's biggest venues, the tour will need some seriously spectacular lights and pyros to make the most of the spaces.
Rita Ora: Calvin Harris has scored himself a high profile girlfriend in the 'How We Do' singer, and we fully expect the London star to be in attendence at his London show at least. Keep an eye in the boxes or the side of the stage - the two have been nearly inseparable since hooking up earlier this year.
New music: It's been nearly a year since Calvin Harris released 18 Months, and even though he's spent much of the time since playing live (in Ibiza and Las Vegas mostly, sorry Belfast, you're not quite as glamourous), he will inevitably have a few new beats he's keen to test out. Keep your ears out for future hits.
Hits: Calvin Harris has broken records with his '18 Months' album, which is the first to spawn nine top ten hits in history. Needless to say, the audience won't be short on hits to sing along with. Even when Harris is done with tracks from 18 Months, there's older hits such as 'I'm Not Alone', 'Ready For The Weekend' and 'Acceptable In The 80s' to look forward to.
No singing from Calvin Harris: Calvin Harris performs vocals on just one track on his record-breaking 18 Months album, having 'retired' from singing in 2010. He's since realised it's much easier to let other people do the work for you, and it's unlikely he'll take to the mic during his UK dates.
Extra dates: Five UK dates for two of the world's biggest dance stars on their first joint tour? Suuuuurre. We'll be very surprised if additional dates aren't announced soon, as these shows will sell out - and fast.
No Daft Punk: Calvin Harris' will join forces with Tiesto for his December tour, but don't expect to hear 'Get Lucky' during his set, as the trance star is no fan of the French duo. "It’s cool to like Daft Punk," he said in an interview with The Huffington Post. "Even if you’re not into the song, as soon as you hear ['Get Lucky’], you see all the cool people go, ‘Oh yeah, this is cool, that’s my song,’ and they don’t really even enjoy it."
A strict drug policy: OK, so you might be able to sneak something illegal into a warehouse party or even a festival, but when you're dealing with venues like London's O2 Arena, there's going to be some seriously strict drug-prevention prodcedures in place. So if you were thinking of carrying - it's probably best you don't...
Lads. Lots of lads: Calvin Harris and Tiesto shows are likely to resemble Magaluf in peak season, with beered up blokes trying their luck with over-tanned ladettes, all raving to 'Drinking From The Bottle' and 'Sweet Nothing'. So just because you reckon Harris knows his way around a pop tune, your feelings on 18-30 holidays ought to play a part on whether you want to be crammed into a venue with 10,000 lairy ravers...
