More about: Bon Jovi
Bon Jovi's guitarist Richie Sambora has been axed from the band's line up for the rest of their tour, after a reported dispute about money.
As an original member, Sambora has been a part of the band through out it's 30 year history. However, he pulled out of the 'Because We Can' world tour back in April and a recent gig with the band citing "personal reasons".
It has now been reported by US website Rumourfix that he is off the tour altogether, despite expressing the desire to return to the stage with them in September.
Sambora was earning a reported £1.28 million a month and 20 per cent of the tour's profits, where as the current stand in guitarist is earning arounf £6,500 a month.
Bon Jovi's world tour is running until mid December, with remaining shows to be played in South America, North America, Japan and Australia.
Jon Bon Jovi previously denied reports of a rift, but now it seems Sambora is out
Frontman Jon Bon Jovi previously denied all rumours of an ongoing rift between the pair, saying US tabloid reports should not be believed.
"Don't believe what you read on TMZ because it's the furthest thing from the truth," said Jon Bon Jovi, speaking to US newspaper the Austin American-Statesman.
"I think Richie's doing all right, I haven't spoken to him. We were surprised," he added. "It was 3:30pm on show day on Tuesday and we got a phone call that he wouldn't be there. It's a personal matter."
