EDM superstar Steve Aoki and nu-metal pioneers Linkin Park have revealed the first taste of their new collaborative project, listen to an extract of 'A Light That Never Comes' below.
The unlikely collaboration mixes Aoki's dubstep-influenced europop with Chester Bennington's distinctive vocals adding a little emo power to the track. The blend of the two styles works well, but Aoki reveals he was initially skeptical about mixing their two sounds.
"This was one of the first songs where I was like, 'how am I going to bridge my world with the Linkin Park world?' and still having it dark," he says of the collaboration.
"Right off the bat you get everything," adds an unseen member of Linkin Park in the video, "It sounds like you and it sounds like us."
