Deftones frontman Chino Moreno has discussed the band's approach to their studio recording sessions, revealing the band plan nothing - they just 'make some noise'.
Speaking to Gigwise backstage at Reading Festival, Moreno (who was joined by drummer Abe Cunningham) stated that the band have no concrete plans to work on a follow up 2012's Koi No Yokan, but when they do, their studio approach will remain the same.
"We don't have plans of when we'll head back into the studio, but when we do we'll have a starting time and a finishing point and then try to do in that time," Moreno told us. "We never go in with an idea of what we're going to do, but that's what makes being in a band together with these guys fun.
"We don't feel like we have a box we need to stay in. We'll just make some noise and work with that."

He also stated that this year's Reading & Leeds festivals felt like one of the band's favourites, due to the sheer number of hardcore rock bands on the line-up.
"We've played a few Reading festivals, maybe five," he adds. "I remember the last one was 2010 and it was great. I'm more excited about this year because it's a pretty heavy line up."
The band are performing close to the top of the bill on the Reading & Leeds main stage after 25 years together, and Moreno also claims that it is the fact that the band still have genuine reasons for working together that keeps them relevant and on top of their game.
"We enjoy what we do, we're pretty genuine about it," he says. "We don't make for music for any other reason, than we enjoy it. We're still with each other, the same people we've been making music with since we were kids.
