UK star Ellie Goulding has held off stiff competition to spend a second week at No.1 with her single, 'Burn'.

The track, the first to be taken from her re-released Halcyon Days album, is also the singer's first UK No.1 single. Goulding held dance producer Avicii at No.2, as his summer anthem 'Wake Me Up', as he also spent a static week close to the top of the charts.

Klangkarussell enters at No.3 with new dance hit 'Sonnentanz (The Sun Don't Shine)' and DJ Fresh returns with another new smash, 'Earthquake' vs Diplo and featuring rising UK rapper, Dominique Young Unique. Lana Del Rey slips to No.5 with the Cedric Gervais remix of 'Summertime Sadness'.

Sean Paul enters at No.7 with 'Other Side Of Love' and Naughty Boy & Emeli Sande score a second collaborative hit with 'Lifted'. Lady Gaga slips to No.9 with her hugely hyped single, 'Applause'.

The only other new entry on the singles chart comes from Matt Cardle and Melanie C with their duet 'Loving You' at No.14.
